Proof of Concept (PoC)

Low-fidelity build to validate core functional assumptions. Speed over finish quality. Purpose: does the mechanism work?

Functional Prototype

Production-representative build using target materials and processes. Tested under real load conditions. Purpose: does it perform to spec?

Pre-Production Sample

First article built using production tooling and process. Validated against drawing and inspection checklist. Purpose: can we replicate this at volume?

Deliverables

Every Prototype Comes With

  • Built and tested functional unit(s)
  • Test report against specification
  • Iteration log (what changed and why)
  • Build photography / video documentation
  • Dimensional inspection (for pre-production)
  • Recommendations for production transition

Typical Timeline

PoC: 5–10 days · Functional: 2–4 weeks · Pre-Production: 3–6 weeks
